Brunch League Sports launches a nationwide survey to understand how safety, comfort, and culture shape women’s experiences as fans and athletes.

Sports stadiums are loud, electric, and alive. But for too many women, attending a game or joining the pre-game tailgate means doing quiet calculations: Where should I park? Will I be safe walking back alone? Will anyone take me seriously if I’m there without a group?

While sports culture has evolved, the environments around it haven’t always caught up. That’s why Brunch League Sports is launching a new Women’s Sports Safety & Attendance Survey — a 20-question study aimed at understanding how women participate in sports spaces, what makes them feel welcome, and what still needs to change.

Reimagining the Fan Experience

The Brunch League began with one simple idea: women shouldn’t have to choose between passion and comfort. From flag football leagues to viewing brunches, we’ve seen how community and culture can make sports more inclusive. But we also know that safety is part of inclusion — and that women’s perspectives have rarely been measured at scale.

This survey is designed to change that.

We want to hear from women who attend pro games, high school tournaments, tailgates, and community runs. From solo fans to family regulars, the questions explore how decisions are shaped by everything from venue safety and parking to alcohol culture, crowd behavior, and event design.

From the Tailgate to the Table

Many women’s social rituals — brunches, runs, yoga collectives — are built on connection and comfort. Brunch League Sports exists at that intersection, where community replaces chaos and women can gather around the game rather than feel pushed to the sidelines.

By collecting national data, we aim to identify what makes a sports environment truly inclusive: better lighting and transport options, family-friendly pre-game spaces, safer fan zones, or simply environments where women feel respected and visible.

Why It Matters

Safety shapes participation — and participation shapes opportunity. When women attend more games, sponsor more teams, and bring families into sports culture, they transform the industry from the stands up.Our survey will help shape recommendations for stadiums, leagues, and local event organizers, encouraging them to design sports experiences that reflect modern realities.
